• Family outing • 5,08 miles • 2 hours 30 minutes • Ascent: 150 meters • Waymarked trail (green orientation arrows) Access • South of Les Arcs, start from “Chemin du Bac” pathway off the national road N7. Keep following it for about 2 miles. • Park your car at Tournavelle carpark, between Argens bridge and Aille bridge. Waymarked trail From the car park, pick up the start of the well trodden track heading south. A short walk over the Aille Bridge (Eiffel bridge) will take you to the place called La Renardière. Keep the picnic spot “La Font de Catin” to your right . The well worn path soon turns into an unsurfaced track. Take the track onto your left “the Bauquieres track”. - Walk alongside the Argens river for about 1 km. After the hairpin bend on your right, turn left onto the track heading to the so called “maison des gardes” – the guardhouse. ( about 160 yards) - Bear right and, after the house, follow the track as it goes uphill until you reach the Bauquieres trail. After about 110 yards, leave the main track and look out for the footpath on your left : keep following it as it goes alongside the valley and across the pinewood. - Go back onto the forest trail (onto your right): you soon come across a waterspring and a trough (after about 436 yards). - Keep walking – about 1 mile – and follow the Bauquiere track as it goes downhill until you reach the so called “maison des gardes” – the guardhouse. - At the first crossroad you come across take a right turn onto the path heading to “la Renardiere” place name and eventually the car park. http://www.mairie-les-arcs-sur-argens.fr/associations-culture/tourisme/patrimoine.html Pompiers • 112 • Info Massif • 04 98 10 55 41 • var.pref.gouv.fr/massifs • ddaf.cdig-83.org
