Sightseeing sites: Saint Barthélémy Site and Picaillou Hill Carpark Saint Barthelemy carpark The waymarked trail Access D560 regional road, direction to « Site de Saint Barthelemy” site You start your walk leaving the « Site de Saint Barthélémy » site retracing your steps onto the road that leads off to the right and heads torwards the water tower. Go onto the trail just opposite, heading to Picaillou Hill While you follow the pathway going uphill, you can notice an old lime kiln dating back to the XIXth century. Further follow the waymarks up to the top of Picaillou Hill. From there, go onto the anti wildfire trail. Continue onto this trail for about 1 mile and then take a right turn onto a pathway going downhill up to Combe Amere valley Then take a right turn and head downhill to Combe Amère valley. Do not overlook the municipality demarcation board, especially the one located on top of the rock. At this point, go onto the trail formerly used to convey wood aimed for ovens (tile making.) Once the top of the hill is reached, go onto the waymarked trail that leads to the remains of a fortification wall dating back to the Ligure period as well as to a hunting lodge dating back to the XXth century. Retrace your steps and follow direction to "La Tuiliere / Saint Barthélémy". « La Tuilière / Saint Barthélémy ». Once you have reached the tarmak raod ( through Chemin des Espèces trail), take a right turn and continue. After about 1900 yards, you soon reach Saint Barthélemy carpark.
