The circuit walk Access through the secondary road D560, Route de l’Europe road, direction to « Site de Saint Barthélemy » site. The circuit walk ( about 1 hour and 30 minutes) leads off to the right from the small bridge just before the carpark. Walk alongside the waterbody through “Saint Barthélémy” site and cross the wooden bridge torwards the chapel. You can access to this monument dating back to the XVIIIth century. Follow the pathway going downhill and turn right onto an unleveled pathway. Continue onto this pathway until you reach the bottom of the dell. Once the chapel is met, take a sharp right turn heading to the site where the very first houses in Salernes were originally built. Take a pause to admire remnants of past monuments. Following the waymarked route, you actually walk around the village until a belvedere is reached: you can enjoy there an outstanding view on Saint Barthélemy site. Retrace your steps and follow the same pathway back to the bottom of the dell. From there, you can continue to follow the circuit walk through seeded areas. Beware.. Do not go onto the wide trail, instead keep heading forward until Tholos de la Lauve sightseeing site is met. Retrace your steps to the cave dwelling, walk alongside the river La Braque until you eventually reach Saint Barthélemy site Sightseeing interests : Ancient hunting cabins Prehistoric grave, Tholos de la Lauve. RECOMMANDATIONS : Follow the waymarked trail only when it is allowed. Tourist office in Salernes informs you about the opening of forest massifs. Make sure you bring enough water with you as well as decent shoes.
